Novia University of Applied Sciences is the largest Swedish-speaking UAS in Finland with about 5000 students and a staff of 350 in five campuses along the Finnish coastline.Through its Industry Collaboration model, Novia UAS combines R&D with flexible mechanisms for innovation within its areas of expertise. HEI Schools collaborates with kindergarten and school operators who wish to implement holistic, Finland-inspired learning in their new or existing schools. Co-founded by the University of Helsinki, the offering of HEI Schools includes: 1) a HEI Schools-branded kindergarten and preschool concept that can be extended to K12, 2) a play-based curriculum for any kindergarten to use, and 3) teacher training courses. Over 2,000 teachers use our curriculum, there are 25 HEI Schools kindergartens in operation, and we have extensive experience in implementing Finnish education in over 50 countries.
