Digitalization

Digital learning can help to overcome learning challenges and improve the efficiency of teaching.

Digital education can serve as an equaliser helping those furthest away from educational justice to bridge the learning gap.  Although this is true, if used without key values in mind, digitalisation can increase the disparities between learners on both sides of the learning gap. Nevertheless, we believe that valuable opportunities exist in developing digital education ecosystems and growing the capacity of teachers to work within them.

Digital education builds on infrastructure, including access to internet and digital devices, teachers’ competencies with digital tools and best practices, instruction focusing on the appropriate and creative use of digital technology as well as individual learners' application of digital skills. Digital learning solutions assist schools, teachers and learners in achieving their goals.
