Director General Heinonen visits China to discuss educational cooperation and business

Mr Olli-Pekka Heinonen, Director General for the Finnish National Agency for Education, will visit Shanghai and Hong Kong with a Team Finland business delegation March 5–9, 2018. During the visit, the delegation will meet with both private and public sector organisations.

The delegation’s visit is a continuation to the visit Finland’s education minister Ms Sanni Grahn-Laasonen made to China in autumn 2017. The visit is part of the operations for Education Finland, a national government-level programme aimed at boosting Finnish education export.

The delegation comprises twelve companies and organisations representing various branches of Finnish educational solutions: learning environments, digital learning solutions, education tourism, learning contents, early childhood education and care, and higher education.

During the visit, the delegation will meet with both private and public sector organisations, such as Shanghai Education Council and Hong Kong Education Bureau. Also, as a new approach the Finnish organisations will hold meetings with Chinese educational investors.
