EduCluster Finland (ECF), University of Jyväskylä Group, engages in international operations pioneering expertise over the entire educational spectrum. Finnish Society for Food Education - Ruukku
The Finnish Society for Food Education, Ruukku, is an expert organisation promoting and developing food education in Finland, especially in schools and in early education. Ruukku aims to improve sustainable wellbeing and health by increasing food knowledge and respect for food. Together with University of Eastern Finland we have developed Tasty School model for food education for primary schools which has been assessed as an effective tool for health promotion. HEI Schools collaborates with kindergarten and school operators who wish to implement holistic, Finland-inspired learning in their new or existing schools. Co-founded by the University of Helsinki, the offering of HEI Schools includes: 1) a HEI Schools-branded kindergarten and preschool concept that can be extended to K12, 2) a play-based curriculum for any kindergarten to use, and 3) teacher training courses. Over 2,000 teachers use our curriculum, there are 25 HEI Schools kindergartens in operation, and we have extensive experience in implementing Finnish education in over 50 countries.
